How to Empower Yourself With a New Moon Ceremony
Preparation for Upcoming New Moon Manifestation
1. Check a moon phase calendar for the next upcoming new moon
The first two weeks after the new moon is the best time for manifesting something new in your life.
This is known as the waxing period. This is the time to begin a fresh new project, goal or task.
It is the perfect time to draw a new manifestation into your life.
If there has been a challenge you’ve been longing to conquer, do it now.
Now, is the time to stop holding back. Take a chance and allow the power of the moon to assist you.
a rattle or drum
2. Set aside 20-30 minutes to do the ritual itself
3. Decide what you’ll do
Pick a new idea, project, or manifestation you want to bring in.
4. Make a list
Start by writing it clearly on a piece of paper. Then, speak it outloud to make it real. State it as clearly as possible.
Write down that you intend for your manifestation to start as soon as you write the words.
When your new project is written out, fold the paper.
5. Prepare yourself a sacred space where you will perform the ceremony when the new moon arrives.
6. Cleanse your sacred area with a sage smudging, and/or by burning some incense.
7. Light one or more candles
8. Open Sacred Space
9. Find an Object to Focus Manifestation
For the new moon ceremony, I like to have a seed to represent my new project.
Take the seed and feel what you wrote on the paper. Then, blow that energy 3 times into the seed.
This allows the energy to have an object to work through. It can activate it even more with a physical object.
You can also do choose a stick, a stone, a feather, the paper, or anything that you feel represents the new manifestation.
Place the seed on an alter outside
10. Close your eyes and connect with the moon
11. Rattle or drum for 15 minutes while holding your manifestation in your mind
12. Close Sacred Space
13. Deliver it to the flow of the earth
Working with the new moon allows an opportunity for you to take an idea and throw it into the river of universal power.
When you take your seed and plant it in the physical earth, it can grow roots in physical reality.
It can grow from a seed into a living plant in the same way your idea grows into actuality.
To set your new moon intention, give your project a place in the earth and deliver it into the physical world.
Place your seed or object that is representing your new intention in alignment with the earth by releasing it into a stream, or planting it in the soil.
Release it into the earth and watch, as it becomes part of the Universe.
The letting go of your manifestation to the earth is symbolic and important.
We must let go of our desires in order for the universe to work on it and bring it to us.
Give it to earth as the new keeper of your idea.
During the month when an item on your new moon list comes to you take time to feel gratitude.
Learn to celebrate your receiving. Then, rewrite your list without the new item on it.
This keeps it fresh and you will get to see how much you are receiving each time you do this.
Rededicating your New Moon Intentions
Each month at the new moon rededicate your intentions by renewing your list at a repeated ritual. This is accomplished by rewriting your list out using a fresh sheet of paper.
Please don’t get in the habit of simply scratching out the items you no longer desire and simply adding the new stuff to the bottom of your old list.
You don’t want clutter and sloppiness energies messing up the path meant to deliver new stuff into your life do you?
Disregard any items that no longer feed your soul and add new things which will.
Continue to add new and exciting extras to your list. Instead of just writing, “I am easily creating a date night with my husband.
“You can get more specific like, “We are going kayaking on the river. Then spending hours in the variety of saunas after receiving body scrubs and massages.”
See how different that feels?
You can continue to add to your list as you see things you’d really like to experience. It is very exciting being able to remove desires from your list as you watch them come to you between new moons.
