Is Your Ego Driving Your Life?

Things have changed. Now that we’ve walked through the fire and burned old emotional baggage, we are ready. Ready for what?

 ~
We are ready to fully embrace who we are. If you’ve ever been in deep meditation and asked the question, “who am I?”, you may have realized the answer doesn’t always come right away. It doesn’t always come in the package we think either. The purpose of your life is not often spelled out in a sentence of words, or an audio in your mind.

~
It is more likely to come to you in the middle of your everyday life. As you are walking your journey of work, traffic, deciding where to go for dinner, etc…
~
The message will be shown to you. It unfolds as you put on foot down at a time. You are guided to move right moments before you are prepared to pick up your left foot. It can come through other people, even people you do not feel that close to. It can come through the song you are listening to on the way to work. It can come through your kids or your pets. The one thing you can count on is, it will always keep you guessing.
~
For those that are habitually accustomed to spending most of their time in the future, this can be maddening…or seem so anyway.
~
I am definitely not saying planning is not necessary. I believe there is a time for planning but 9 times out of 10 our plans change. Often, they change abruptly right before we have a breakthrough.
~
We usually have specific plans lined up when we trip and fall right on top of our destiny. Don’t believe in destiny yet?
~
Until we have the experience of coincidentally (or not) colliding with our purpose for Being, we question that it exists. It’s easier that way right? Plus, no one wants to feel excluded from such an essential and appealing club. If we deny it exists, we can feel safe.  I think it is wise to question everything while staying open to possibilities. So often, we decide to close ourselves to truth as a protective mechanism.
~
There was a time it was easier to say, “true love does not exist” because I thought I’d already experienced it and I got dumped. It was too painful to believe it still existed or to have faith.
 ~
Now the game has changed. Our ego is nothing more than a backseat driver now. It is not in control and we are not living in response to it. We are not being driven by our ideas, concepts, limited fear based programming, doubt or judgements.
Now, our driver is Love, Compassion, Intuition, Power, Humility, Fluidity, and Knowingness. It flows through us providing a faster, smoother and more efficient way of getting where we need to be.
~
It doesn’t need a plan or direction. It does not need our input at all. Words are a tool of the old way. It moves with absolute precision. It is the hybrid of all hybrid.

Good News

~
Because we have done the work and sacrificed our shadow selves to the light, we are now free. We are free to let consciousness drive, move us, and fulfill our dreams. We are fully aligning with our Higher Selves/God Selves/Holy Sprit. We have access right now to Christ Consciousness. All we have to do is allow and invite this new energy, this new alignment.
 ~
We are so in the habit of doing, planning, preparing and efforting everything to happen. Because of this, some of us may feel lost or full of doubt. We may feel more out of control than we ever have. We are. The analytical aspect that is normally in the driver seat is not in charge now. The part that is driving does not require understanding or a logical explanation. It may feel uncomfortable because there is a period of unlearning.
~
We are practicing Being. The irony is we practice by not doing and getting out of the way. We just have to do the things that inspire us and let this new energy move through us. No we are not all turning into hippies.
~
We are learning to live like we did when we were kids again. Only now, we are empowered with Universal knowledge on a much grander playground. We can learn by taking cues from nature and children. We are not mimicking them, but allowing them to remind us.
~
They are sparking the knowing that is awakening right now in our cells. It doesn’t matter if you believe this or have certain ideas about it. It is happening naturally. It will pleasantly surprise so we need to try not to dwell on what we think this looks like.
~
We can permit ourselves to imagine again without indulging the part that feels silly. That part is already being released.
~
We can take our awareness completely away from self-consciousness. We will not pay attention to the old ideas of how we should act. The taught politeness is transforming into authentic self-love and kindness.

Love and Kindness – A New Way of Being

This is nothing to fear. It is moving us into a greater place of freedom. Our minds may try to tell us that we will all be running around like sociopaths but this is just the mind telling us lies to try and get us to doubt.
~
Even as I write this, my mind is trying to fill my head with doubt. The words are pouring out on the page and threatening my sense of control. I am learning as I write and feel like these words are being written through me.

Nature- The Teacher

In nature we will notice how the animals are masters at Being. They have no self-consciousness and most do not recognize their own image in a mirror. If they do acknowledge it, they act as if it is another animal. My cat doesn’t even notice the reflection and dogs want to play with their new buddy. I even watched a bird attacking a mirror for hours trying to protect it’s territory. It only gave up out of pure exhaustion.
~
They do not have set rules of how to be. They just move through life as it unfolds before them. They have not learned a ‘right’ way to act, according to others. Although we often try to teach our pets this, we frequently leave them baffled with our punishment.
~
They don’t understand why we don’t like them and often don’t associate our punishment with their act. My cat just knows that he doesn’t like water in his face and the couch has an automatic water dispenser on it. He does not feel wrong for jumping on the couch or associate it with me. When we hit them for doing something that inconveniences us, it can be confusing for them.
~
Even as children, we may experience this. I had a memory of being spanked and it left me wondering why my mama didn’t like me. It didn’t even occur to me that she was doing this as a result of something I’d done. I just thought she disliked who I was for some reason. I had no concept of there being a right and wrong way to act. I had not been taught that yet. I was just being.  This is a bit of a tangent but an example of how we are taught certain things that no longer serve us.  There are definitely certain wisdom that was shared with us as children that served us. However, control never serves in empowering another human being.
~
Let us look to nature as an example of Being. Nature moves with one collective consciousness and seems to have a network of information that is shared, like the internet. Trees communicate through a root system. Animals in a rain forest communicate if there is a threat of danger lurking. Ever notice a sudden hush move through the forest when you start moving? The examples are endless.
~
There doesn’t seem to be humanistic programming in nature. If a stream rages during a rainstorm, it doesn’t worry about how it acted and apologize for breaking tree limbs.
~
If a bird sings loudly from a tree, it doesn’t compare itself to the squirrel because it sounds different.

If a black bear gets really fat off of blueberries and jiggles when she walks she doesn’t hide in her cave from embarrassment.
~
There are still aggressive animals and shy animals. We will not all become lunatics. We will just be free to be ourselves.
~
Nature is the perfection of Being. We are too. We were told a long time ago this was our part to play and forgot our authentic selves. Even our childhood selves do not fully reflect the perfection of us.
~
I know for me this is really exciting because I had a blast as a child. Remember spending all day in a small patch of the yard, creating magical kingdoms? I remember how anything could turn into a game and nothing was what it seemed. It was all potential for fun and adventure. It was never boring. The imagination holds the key to unlimited potential in every aspect of our lives. We just forgot.
~
Until now…

You may start noticing more creativity surrounding you, more playfulness coming out in you, or more love engulfing you. You may get bursts of feelings of being in love coming from inside or seemingly out of nowhere.
~
You will notice the most when you are just relaxed with no agenda. Perhaps, this will be on your off time or even at work, especially when you’ve let your guard down.
~
This is the time to explore new hobbies, start new projects, and a new identity. You could feel pulled to revisit childhood dreams long forgotten. Do you remember what you wanted to be when you were 5, 8, or 10? Way before you were told what was real and what was make believe, what did you think about? What games did you make up? What wants to live in your right now? People tell me all the time, “the sky is the limit.”

Is it?
